	Welcome to the Victoria Avenue Business Improvement Area (BIA) Victoria Avenue Business Improvement is located in downtown Fort William in the beautiful City of Thunder Bay and noted as one of the important historic downtowns still thriving in Ontario. Our downtown is experiencing revitalization efforts with many buildings have been demolished to make way for the new Provincial Consolidated Court House where the former Kings Building, Brodie St. Bus Terminal, Brodie St. Parking Lot, YMCA and Craft’s Corner buildings once stood. A 3 year building phase is expected. Please take the time to follow the Consolidated Courthouse progress and live webcam on Infrastructure Ontario’s website. Downtown Revitalization - Grants & Loans for Businesses The following Core Area Renewal Programs financial incentive programs are currently available: The Planning & Building Fee Grant Program rebates any application fees paid by a property owners or tenants for building permits or planning approvals, for properties in the downtown community plan areas. The Façade Loan Program provides an interest free loan of 50% of the value of the work to a maximum of $15 000 (per unit in a building). The loan is repaid over 10 years. The Tax Increment-Based Grant Program rebates any increase in taxes that result from significant improvements to buildings.
